Outdoor Space Inspiration

I have said this before but Pinterest is the greatest site to go for all sorts of inspiration and I have been drooling over some of the outdoor spaces that I have seen recently. This Spring/Summer we have really been trying to update and finish our backyard and it is coming along quite nicely. There is however so much more that we want to do and Im sure more to come after that with all the amazing photos I am coming across. Here are a few of my favourites, you can find the rest here.

What I am wearing:

Sunglasses - Ray Ban in Cock Pit. Love these sunglasses, I wear them constantly and have owned them for a few years now but they are still my favourites.

How to wear a black jacket five ways..Number One..Outfit Post

This week I decided to show a basic that one would be most likely to have in their wardrobe. The little black suit jacket. I love a good suit jacket and black that usually goes with all is a perfect staple to have in your wardrobe! So here is number one of five.

What I am wearing:

Sunglasses - RayBan in Cockpit
Jacket - Black suit jacket -  Dynamite
Top - Coral and white striped tee - Forever 21
White skinny Jeans - H&M
Shoes - Black platform pumps - Qupid purchased from a local store, I couldn't find them online but I must say they are so comfortable I have them in a dark turquoise as well.

Nail Tutorial...Nude and Mint French Manicure

I have seen photos and tutorials for nails with people using paper hole reinforcements, I couldn't find my nail strips for a french manicure. I thought why not...they seem to work well for everyone else. So I tried it, and was sadly disappointed in the end result. Not only did they not stick to my nails very well, they were way to small for some of my nails i.e. my thumbs. (I had to use 3 on my thumbs) Which gave a sort of wonky result instead of the clean crisp line I was aiming for. But oh well live and learn....I tried it and its ok when you don't have any other options. I chose to use A walk on the beach by Loreal which is a nude polish, for the tips I used Mint Sorbet by Sally Hansen. I love the colour combination, so I will certainly be doing this again in the future. I will however substitute the reinforcements for proper nail strips.

The Perfect Summer Bag.....The hunt is on.

I am now in search of the perfect little summer  purse and let me tell you, when your looking for something its always harder to find! Although I think I have found the one. I want something bright, simple and small. I hate carrying around a large purse in the heat of summer, purses this time of year should be cute and little while still being functional! The other day I got a flyer in the mail for Danier Leather and the cover had the cutest, brightly coloured mini saddlebags. I instantly fell in love! There were a few others that I have spotted as well, so I thought I would share them with you. Whats your favourite Summer bag? Busy day today...I am heading over to my parents house to help move some flagstone that they are giving us for our backyard. We already have most of it done and I can't wait to see it completed. Living in the city we are not aloud to have fires, but we have worked our way around this. In the middle of the flagstone pad we have a great little fire pit that my parents gave me. Fill this with small stones and fire gel pots...voila! I cannot wait to sit out there at night with a drink and little fire!

Now your just somebody that I used to know....

I Found this great little dirt road literally about a ten minute drive away from my house. Seeming to always have my camera with me we decided to stop and take a few photos which was a lot of fun. Although I must say, heels on a gravel strewn dirt road is a lot more difficult that imagined. But with no falls I made it through...just barely. It brought me back to a year ago trying to maneuver my way through the cobblestoned streets in italy. (I only wore heels twice in the time that I was there.)

- Sunglasses by Vogue. Which are probably about 4 years old now
- Clutch by Tommy Hilfiger. I tend to use this little bag more for jeans but enjoy the versatility of it.
Shoes by Spring. I bought these cute little wedge sandals last summer for a whopping $30! Such a great find as the quality really is great and they are quite comfortable.

A Punch of Colour......Eye Catching Colourful Blazers

Substitute the old black blazer and opt for a fun and colourful option instead! These blazers are a great way to jump head first into Spring/Summer and they certainly make your outfit stand out. Rock these punch packing jackets in a variety of ways, with tailored pants, a great dress or skirt, simple go to jeans or even shorts. So many options of colour, fit and style and so many ways to wear it!
